Each pet is an individual, conditions like age, activity level and climate may alter your pet’s dietary needs. Calculate the amount to feed your pet by weighing them and then use the chart on the package to determine the number of morsels/chubs per meal. Preparation:
After consulting the feeding guidelines on the package remove the designated amount of morsels from the freezer and follow one of these methods of thawing. Suggestion: During each evening feeding remove the total amount of morsels needed for the upcoming day from the freezer and put them in the refrigerator.
Method 1
Place morsels/chubs on a dish and cover in the refrigerator for 4-6 hours.
Method 2
Porters pride morsels/chubs can be placed in a plastic bag and set under cold running water for 2-4 hours to thaw.
Method 3
The morsels/chubs can be placed in a microwave and defrosted. This is not recommended however unless it is necessary. Defrosting in a microwave decreases the nutritional benefits of a raw food diet.
